red light/green light

“red light/green light” is a visual storytelling collaboration created with New York City’s sex worker community. The project examines safety, surveillance, and mutual aid among these workers, who are often systemically and culturally marginalized. There is no single, monolithic “sex work” experience. “red light/green light” focuses on stories of survival, including union organizing, protests for the decriminalization of sex work, mutual aid shows, and self-defense workshops, all events by and for the community.
