Little Amal is a 10-year-old puppet of a refugee girl from Syria. Little Amal has traveled across Turkey and Europe to find her mother and the search for her uncle has brought her to New York. Amal means hope in Arabic. The purpose of the Little Amal puppet is to raise awareness of refugees and migrants.
